Tibbs Dementia Connections

(formerly the Memory Navigation Service)

A dementia diagnosis can bring a lot of questions, and it’s not unusual to feel unsure about what happens next.

When support from the memory clinic comes to an end, you may wonder where to turn for ongoing help. Tibbs Dementia Connections is here to make sure you don’t have to find your way alone.

Whether you’re living with dementia or supporting someone who is, we’re here to offer information, guidance and a listening ear.

  • You may need help understanding what support is available.

  • You may have questions about benefits, care, dementia or local services.

  • You may simply want to talk things through with someone who understands.

There are no right or wrong questions. Whatever you’re facing, we’ll help you find the next step. If we can’t provide the answer ourselves, we’ll help you find the right person or service.

We don’t just wait for you to contact us. We’ll also check in from time to time to see how you’re getting on, offer support when you need it and remind you that you’re not alone.

As things change, the questions you have may change too. We can support you along the way, from understanding a new diagnosis and finding local support to navigating changes in care and planning for the future.

Who is the service for?

Tibbs Dementia Connections supports people living with dementia, and those who care for or support them, across Bedfordshire, excluding Luton.

People are usually referred to us by their Memory Clinic following a dementia diagnosis.

You can speak to us yourself, or a family member, carer or someone else supporting you can speak to us on your behalf.

Formerly the Memory Navigation Service

You may know this support as the Memory Navigation Service, previously provided by Carers in Bedfordshire.

Since April 2026, the service has been provided by Tibbs Dementia Foundation as Tibbs Dementia Connections, with no change to the support available.

If you have any questions about the change, please email contact@tibbsdementia.co.uk.

You don’t have to find your way alone

There can be a lot to take in after a dementia diagnosis. You don’t need to have all the answers, and you don’t need to know exactly what support you need before getting in touch.

We’re here to listen, help you understand your options and find the next step that feels right for you.
